I am Norma Domey and I am thrilled to inform you that I am ready to lead! Seeking re-election as your Vice President (Full-Time)
A few short years ago, negotiated as part of our collective agreements with the federal government, adoption of the model Scientific Integrity policy represents a huge stride forward for science in the public interest and the federal scientists who undertake it. I’m pleased to inform you that as your member representative and current Chair on the Science Advisory Committee (reporting to PIPSC Board), we worked hard to draft the original template. My friends, it is an exciting time for you and I to be a member of our Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada!
Building on Our Stories of our past, we are changing Our World to change Our Future possibilities through our Strategic Plan with three areas of focus:
1) Value to Our Members
2) Enhanced Influence
3) A Model Organization
Our core ideology with respect to our missions and values --- Integrity, Respect, Service, and Excellence, transcends our envisioned future.
While each of us strives to infuse improvements to our Federal Public Service, the more important part of our journey is in our service to others. Whether we are a mentor, an officer, or a union executive, we owe others the same support and encouragement we hope will be given to us. We come together with our workplace goals in mind but often find the most satisfying part of our journey is when we have helped someone else BRING ABOUT CHANGE.
